For over three decades, David has helped high net-worth families craft investment strategies to meet their goals. In addition to his longevity in the industry, Dave also spent his entire career with Scotia Wealth Management, including a seven-year term as Branch Manager of the Brampton office. David and his team provide complete wealth management services to over 600 clients and manage upwards of $700 million in client assets.

David was born and raised on his family farm just north of Brampton, and has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. David has also played an active role as a volunteer with many different community organizations in Brampton. Among these include membership with six different committees of the Brampton Board of Trade, including a three-year term as a Director. David was also the founding Chair of the Brampton Business Achievements Awards program.

Glen works alongside David overseeing the investment strategy and service offering of The Sharpe-Way Group. Glen earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McMaster University, having completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. He also completed the Financial Management Advisor (FMA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Investment Manager (CIM), Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and Family Enterprise Advisor (EA) designations and holds securities, life insurance and options licenses, allowing him to tailor strategies to clients’ long and short-term goals.

Born and raised in Brampton, Glen has been actively involved in his community for his entire +20-year career. His volunteer work has included Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel/York, William Osler Health Foundation, Brampton Caledon Community Foundation and the Country Day School. Fundraising initiatives have focused on the redevelopment of Peel Memorial Hospital, the cardiac department for SickKids Hospital and childhood cancer causes.

With over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry (of which 14 have been with Scotia Wealth Management), Jill has developed a breadth of expertise in investment and retirement planning, estate planning and insurance needs analysis which allows her to serve clients with diverse needs including those with more complex circumstances or more sophisticated objectives.  Jill finds it particularly rewarding to empower women through the financial planning process especially for those women with newfound independence either through loss of a spouse, divorce, or who simply wish to make independent decisions on their financial affairs.

Jill holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from the Financial Planning Standards Council, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist designation (CFDS), a life insurance license through the FSCO, and the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) through the Canadian Securities Institute.

With over two decades of financial services experience, catering to institutional and affluent clients, as well as internal Scotia Wealth Management Advisors and Associates, Arlene oversees The Sharpe-Way Group’s day-to-day operations, practice management and leads a number of the team’s business initiatives. In addition, Arlene applies her inherent interest in people and her commitment to superior client service in her work with David Sharpe in guiding and supporting affluent families towards meeting their wealth goals.

Arlene holds a Bachelor of Life Sciences (Hons.) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University. She lives in Oakville with her husband, Mike and their two daughters. She can either be found on the sidelines of a soccer pitch cheering on one of the girls or logging kilometres between Oakville and Burlington towards her goal to one day run a full marathon.

Rebekah has over 20 years of industry experience and has been with Scotia Wealth Management for 19 years. With The Sharpe-Way Group, Rebekah is responsible for relaying the investment direction as a relationship manager.

She has a BBA (Honours) from Brock University where she majored in finance. She has successfully obtained her FMA, PFPC designations, has completed the CSC and is Life Insurance and Options Licensed in Ontario. Rebekah resides in Alton and enjoys boating, hiking and yoga.

Dorothy joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2012 and has been in the investment industry since 2006. As a member of The Sharpe-Way Group, Dorothy helps provide the quality service our clients have come to rely on. As a Relationship Manager, her understanding and experience navigating issues help ensure clients get the answers they need.

Dorothy graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance. Dorothy is accustomed to a hectic pace and environment, as parents of two young boys, Dorothy and her husband are always on the go.

Lorenzo joined the Sharpe-Way Group in 2020 following a one-year intensive Wealth Management training program focused on shaping entrepreneurial-minded individuals into successful wealth advisors. Through this program Lorenzo developed his skills in financial planning, portfolio management, and relationship management and gained an appreciation for providing an all-encompassing solution for clients that connects all the variables of their wealth including investment management, risk management, lending, financial planning, estate planning, and philanthropic pursuits.  As an Investment Associate, Lorenzo’s calm and collected demeanor is ideal for his responsibility in executing the majority of the team’s day-to-day trading, while also working directly with clients to address their portfolio questions and service inquiries.  In addition, Lorenzo supports the team’s business development and social media marketing activities. 

Lorenzo enjoys spending time with friends and family, being involved in the community, as well as playing sports. Growing up Lorenzo trained in an elite tennis program and was a frequent competitor in the Ontario Tennis Association. Although no longer competing, Lorenzo still has a high level of passion for the sport and continues to play on a recreational level. Lorenzo holds the Qualified Associate Financial Planner designation and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Mara has been in the financial services industry since 2008 and joined The Sharpe-Way Group in 2014.  As a Senior Associate, Mara’s warm personality and caring spirit is evident in her commitment to service and in her support of Jill and her clients.  Mara also plays a key role in co-ordinating the team’s marketing initiatives and in planning and co-ordinating all client seminars and events, ensuring that every detail is accounted for from invitations, to catering, to sound and technology.

Mara has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario where she majored in psychology. Mara, her husband and two children live in Brampton. Outside of the office, Mara loves to spend time with her family; she also enjoys learning new skills crocheting, knitting and sewing.

Yvette joined The Sharpe-Way Group in 2016. As a Senior Associate, Yvette’s primary focus is supporting Glen in delivering the highest level of service to our clients. As our team continues to grow, Yvette also works closely with our new team members to build on their training and guide them in their growth.

Yvette received her Bachelor of Humanities from Carleton University and has completed the CSC and WME courses. Outside of the office, Yvette enjoys spending time with family, volunteering in her Oakville community, and going on long hikes with her husband.

Merissa joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2016. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic have made her a great addition to The Sharpe-Way Group.  As an Administrative Associate, Merissa supports the team by executing client service requests; in particular, she ensures that cash management and monthly payment requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Merissa obtained her Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Services Management to pursue her career aspirations in supporting the financial well-being of others. Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring new places, trying new cuisines and gardening.

Marisa joined the Sharpe-Way Group in 2021, bringing with her a solid foundation in client service, documentation and marketing.  As an Administrative Assistant,  Marisa diligently addresses client needs and inquiries in a calm and friendly manner.  Marisa also plays a key role in the timely distribution of the Team’s client event invitations and quarterly investment updates.  Marisa has a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University majoring in English Literature and Political Science and in her commitment to learning, is presently enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course. Outside of the office, Marisa is always busy with friends and family, but still finds time to enjoy a good book.

Peri Lynn joined the Sharpe-Way Group in 2022 as a veteran of the hospitality industry.  Peri Lynn takes pride in delivering thorough and excellent client service and in her role as Administrative Assistant, she supports the team in preparing the documentation for new accounts and for the day-to-day maintenance of accounts; while also handling various general administrative tasks.  Peri loves yoga, travelling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Shawn Cooper

As a Total Wealth Planner, Shawn is responsible for guiding our clients through our Total Wealth Planning process, which begins with a thoughtful consideration of their entire financial picture, immediate needs, and goals for the future. With a clear understanding of our clients’ unique financial situation, Shawn collaborates with our team of specialists to develop a customized Total Wealth Plan that is comprehensive, forward-looking, and tailored to help each client reach their financial goals. Through an evolving Total Wealth Plan, Shawn works with our clients to help them achieve future success – as they define it.

Shawn graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Finance. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the Canadian Investment Manager and Financial Management Advisor designations. Shawn remains active in the community as a volunteer with the Junior Achievement and raises money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

With over 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, Keri joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2016. Her focus has been to build high value relationships with advisors, aiding them in constructing risk management and estate planning solutions. Keri’s focus is on the development of personal and corporate insurance solutions designed to help reduce the impact of taxation and provide tax-efficient strategies for retirement income.

Keri graduated from McMaster University in 1995 has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designations.

Pari Christides

Pari is responsible for providing advice and guidance to clients for their Will and estate planning strategies. She has worked with Scotiabank and in the financial services industry since 2002.

Pari is a graduate of the Honours Bachelor of Arts program, specializing in Economics, at the University of Toronto. She holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation, the Member, Trust Institute designation, and has completed the Canadian Securities Course through the Canadian Securities Institute. Pari is also a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Malcolm Burrows

Malcolm is a nationally-known philanthropic advisor and gift planner.

He spent 13 years with three Toronto charities before assuming his current role in 2004. Scotia Wealth Management is the largest national service provider to private foundations and operates Aqueduct Foundation, a public foundation with donor advised funds.

Malcolm is active as a speaker, writer and volunteer in the charitable sector. He has worked extensively as a volunteer on tax and policy issues relating to the charitable sector. As past-chair and member of the Government Relations Committee of the CAGP he has contributed to the development of new charitable tax incentives, including the elimination of capital gains on gifts of public securities.
