David Sharpe

For over three decades, David has helped high net-worth families craft investment strategies to meet their goals. In addition to his longevity in the industry, Dave also spent his entire career with Scotia Wealth Management, including a seven-year term as Branch Manager of the Brampton office. David and his team provide complete wealth management services to over 500 clients and manage approximately $500 million in client assets.

David was born and raised on his family farm just north of Brampton, and has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. David has also played an active role as a volunteer with many different community organizations in Brampton. Among these include membership with six different committees of the Brampton Board of Trade, including a three-year term as a Director. David was also the founding Chair of the Brampton Business Achievements Awards program.

Glen Way

Glen works alongside David to oversee the investment direction and service offering of The Sharpe-Way Group. Glen earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McMaster University, having completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is also a Financial Management Advisor (FMA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Investment Manager, Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and has successfully obtained his securities, life insurance and options licenses, which allow him to tailor strategies to clients’ long and short-term goals.

Born and raised in Brampton, Glen has been actively involved for more than 10 years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel and many worthy causes. Recent fundraising initiatives have raised in excess of $250,000 for the redevelopment of Peel Memorial Hospital, the cardiac department for SickKids Hospital and childhood cancer causes.

Jill Smith

Jill has extensive experience providing investment and financial planning advice to clients with complex and sophisticated needs and goals. She draws on the breadth of expertise that she has developed over her thirteen plus years in the financial services industry. Jill has been with Scotia Wealth Management for over ten years in various roles. Her areas of expertise include investment and retirement planning, estate planning and insurance needs analysis.

Jill holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from the Financial Planning Standards Council, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), a life insurance license through the FSCO, and the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Jill lives in Burlington with her husband and two young boys. In addition to spending time with her family, Jill enjoys playing hockey and running.

Shawn Cooper

Shawn works with our clients to develop highly customized and comprehensive financial plans. As part of this process, Shawn explores relevant financial, retirement, tax, Will and estate strategies drawing on more than 14 years of financial services experience.

Shawn is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Finance from Ryerson University. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM®) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designations, which allows him to tailor strategies to meet client’s short and long term goals.

Shawn resides in Pickering with his wife and three daughters. Outside the office, he enjoys swimming, camping and cycling and remains active in the community volunteering with Junior Achievement and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Jennifer Latter

Jennifer has over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with Scotia Wealth Management for 20 years. In addition to ensure client questions and requests are handled promptly and professionally, Jennifer also helps our clients better understand their investments and the strategy behind them. In 2005, she was nominated in the Scotia Applause Awards for Service excellence.

Jennifer has a BA from the University of Western Ontario where she majored in Administrative Studies. She also participates in fundraising events with Trillium Health Partners which are held throughout the year. Jennifer lives in Caledon and enjoys time with family, as well as hiking and travelling.

Rebekah Rabe

Rebekah has over 16 years of industry experience and has been with Scotia Wealth Management for fifteen years. With the Sharpe-Way Group, Rebekah is responsible for relaying the investment direction and handling client queries.

She has a BA (Honours) from Brock University where she majored in Finance. She has successfully obtained her FMA, PFPC and CSC designations and is Life Insurance and Options Licensed. Active in various charitable events, Rebekah is the Chair of the Brampton Scotia Wealth Management Charity Committee and has helped raise money for SNAPSO and various other organizations. Rebekah resides in Alton and enjoys boating, hiking and yoga.

Dorothy Rusiniak

Dorothy joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2012 and has been in the investment industry since 2006. As a member of The Sharpe-Way Group, Dorothy helps provide the quality service our clients have to rely on. Her understanding and experience navigating issues help ensure clients get the answers they need.

Dorothy graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and is fully licensed as an Investment representative. Dorothy is accustomed to a hectic pace and environment, as parents of two young boys, Dorothy and her husband are always on the go.

Mara Gravelle

Mara joined The Sharpe-Way Group in 2014. Her primary responsibility is the administrative work of the team in assisting clients with service requests. She has been in the financial industry since 2008 and has completed her licensing requirements to become an Investment Representative.

Mara has a BA from the University of Western Ontario where she majored in psychology. Mara, her husband and two children live in Brampton. Outside the office, Mara loves to spend time with her family; she also enjoys reading and baking.

Yvette Bochar

Yvette has been with the Scotia Wealth Management Brampton office since 2014. She recently joined The Sharpe-Way Group and has completed her licensing requirements to become an Investments Representative. She will be supporting the team in an administrative capacity and assisting clients with service requests.

Yvette has a BA from Carleton University where she studied at the College of the Humanities. Having recently moved to Oakville with her husband, she enjoys taking advantage of the scenic lakefront and Halton trails for running and hiking.

Keri O'Driscoll

Keri joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2016 with over 19 years in the financial services industry. She offers expertise in risk management and estate planning solutions. Keri can focus on both personal and corporate insurance solutions to help reduce the impact of taxation and provide tax efficient strategies for retirement income. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University, a Certified Financial planner and Elder Planning Counsellor designation.

Nathan Bender

Nathan is responsible for providing guidance to estate and trust clients for their will and estate planning strategies.

In the financial services industry since 2001, he has been with Scotiabank since 2006.

Nathan earned a BA in Sociology and History from the University of Guelph. He holds several financial designations including Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).

Estate and trust services are provided by The Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company.

Malcolm Burrows

Malcolm Burrows joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2004 after spending 13 years with three Toronto charities.As past-chair and member of the Government Relations Committee of the Canadian Association of Gift Planning (CAGP). Malcolm has been instrumental in securing Scotia Wealth Management’s position as the largest national service provider to private foundations and led the development and launch of Aqueduct Foundation, a public foundation with donor advised funds.

Aileen Miziolek

Aileen has extensive experience providing strategic planning and transition advice to family enterprise clients with complex and sophisticated needs and goals. Her passion is to help entrepreneurs integrate their business plans with their family’s financial plans to create a solid foundation both for the business and the family’s future.

Aileen holds the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) through the Canadian Securities Institute and holds a life insurance license. Memberships include the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners, Institute of Family Enterprise Advisors and the International Coaching Federation.
